Part 1

Course Report Project

The Brief

Throughout Turing's history, Course Report has been a major component of the student pipeline. How do we continue to build visibility there through alumni reviews? What strategies should we pursue to encourage alumni participation?

The first non-featured school on Course Report has 241 reviews, the last on the scroll has 155. So to crack the most reviewed list, Turing would need 156+ (as of Sept 18)

The Goal

  • Increase reviews on Course Report from 97 to 156+
  • Encourage alumni to submit reviews (as part of a larger alumni engagement strategy)
  • Put structures in place to continue participation by future alumni

Making it Happen

  • Preparation
    • Data/Info for past cohorts
    • Review of existing reviews & CR info
  • Engaging Alumni
    • Incentive
    • Messaging
    • Emphasize/Deemphasize
  • Success
    • Timeline/hitting goals
  • Upkeep

Part 2

Mentor Debugging

The Brief

There is a disconnect between the goals and intentions of the mentor corps and what students are experiencing. How do we get to the root of the problem and improve the mentor experience for all?

The Goal

  • Determine the root causes for mentor drop-off/non-participation
  • Engage with mentors and students to find out what their goals (and needs) are for the program
  • Create buy-in from all parties for an active mentor/mentee relationship

Making it Happen

  • Preparation
    • Understanding current messaging around mentor program
  • Knowledge Acquisition
    • Coffee Meetups!
    • Surveys! (Mentors & Alumni)
  • Success
    • Uncovering issue(s) and proposing solutions
    • Solution implementation and results
